In 2002 i was introduced to the sport by Mike Patrick of
Warrington
Canoe Club. I progressed qucikly up the domestic divisional raking
system to then represent England throughout my junior years. In 2005 i
was crowned British Open junior 16
champion and finished first in the under 16s event at the
Euro-Olympiques in Lanion, France.
In 2006 i won Team GB junior selection to then become the highest-placed Great Britain K1M athlete finishing 35th
at the 2006 Junior World Championships and also finishing 28th at the
Junior European Championships in the same year.
2007 was my last year as a junior and saw another year on the British
Juniour team allowing me to compete in this year's Junior European
Championships in Krakow, Poland. After a silly mistake and picking up a
penalty my Medal hopes were shattered finishing 25th after qualifing in
9th.
2008 will see my 1st year as an u23 athlete........
